Teammates*

Teammates is a multicultural book by Tiki and Ronde Barber who are now professional football players. The two brothers show how determination and practice can lead to a victory. The book is about helping others when in need. When Tiki was fumbling the football and causing the losses for the team, his brother Ronde comes up with their own private practice to help Tiki hold on to the football when being tackled. This book is about achieving confidence, accomplishing goals, the importance of practice, and never giving up, it represents TEAMWORK!!!!!!!!

This is a book in which I think would be good for students. It would show how you are just not handed something in life and that you have to work for it. Students, especially younger students, would benefit from it. It may send them a message on how they should do well in school early and they could be successful.

Teammates could be used for child life specialists and future teachhers.

Diane J.Wood: I also read this book and included it in my annotated bibliography portfololio. It is a great book about being a team player and relying on others for support. No team stands alone. It exemplifies brotherhood and working together, also the love and care provided by family so crucial in staying grounded in professional sports.
